We love Dr. Seuss

Ryan had been learning about De. Seuss at school and wanted to show mommy some "real world" carryover ideas one night when she asked me and Joe to make green eggs and ham. So we did. And they loved it. Britt was a little reluctant to try, but in the end, she actually ate more than Ryan did. They both had a good time and I'm glad to know Ryan is learning at her school and enjoys coming home and carrying over the skills and ideas that her school, Beginning Steps Ministry is teaching her.

Snack time at Grandma's school

Ryan loves school, everything about school. She loves circle time, cooking class, chapel and playtime. She also loves getting to have a snack during the day and picking it out with me the night before so she can pack it in her lunchbox all by herself. That being said, Brittyn is more than ready to follow suit. She got a small backpack for her last birthday and since then, this mommy has been packing TWO snacks each day...one for Ryan to take to her school and another for Britt to take to her (Grandma's) school. She loves being the big girl so much and can't wait to get to Grandma's to eat her snack. Grandma tells me daily how as soon as Brittyn gets in the house, she can't wait to eat her snack. First she's just "looking" at get snack by staring at her backpack and telling Grandma that she has the snack. Next, she does the "set up" by taking out all the items in her backpack and arranging them on her table. Finally, when she can't take it any longer she goes in for the snack!!! Mind you, this all happens within the first 5-7 minutes of her arrival at Grandma's school. I love my girls and I'm so happy that they are both so excited to be in school and wanting to go to school. I hope my little Huntington bubby will follow suit like his big sisters one day!!!

Playing Catch up

So, for all intents and purposes, my blog will be officially caught up after this post. Joe and I purchased new phones a couple weeks ago I lost all my photos, all 800+ photos with 75+ videos. So I thought all was lost and while it basically is, I decided I'd do my best to show some highlights from the past few months. So, here goes...Thanksgiving was great, we ate a lot and had a great day. The food was great, we took a Shuler Family picture, we missed Kiera, Terah and Duncan since they couldn't come home.

But they made up for it at Christmas and we got to see them. The girls had a blast opening presents for themselves and Huntington since he was mostly interested in trying to eat the wrapping papers. We ate again and attempted to have another Shuler family picture at Uncle Joe and Aunt Marlene's house. Our family also ate dinner at the Longfellow house and the kids opened presents there too.

Once 2013 arrived, we were busy trying to get back into some sort of schedule and gear up for all this year has in store for us. I've captured a few pics and then we've had a couple of professional shots done as well. Can't wait to see what the rest of the year holds for us!
