January strikes again!

So, finally I'm in 2014 with my blogging. I'd say I'm starting to catch up a little bit! I've still got a long way to go but thankfully not as far as it could be. The new year has come and gone and I'm busy not keeping any of the resolutions that I don't actually speak aloud for fear that someone will hold me accountable. But, just so everyone knows, they are the same ones I failed to conquer last year. However, I did enlist my wild turkeys to help me make our annual New Year's Day meal! Anytime they can get in the kitchen with me, it's a fight, or whatever the nice sweet word is for a sibling feud, to help mommy in the kitchen!!! And, by help, I mean wait not so patiently for the cake batter beater and spatula to be handed over, all the while snacking on the ham that I pulled from the oven and have forbidden anyone to touch. We always have a good day no matter how stressful it gets. That's what it's all about right? 2014, let's do this!
